Here at The Dark Tales, we love stories- horror and sci-fi to be more precise. These, are the core of this web site and what you can expect to find here in the form of Novellas, being released by fascicles.
Once we start publishing one of our original stories, you will be able to read a new chapter or chapters (depending on their length) every week. We will do this until the story ends. Then once the tale is concluded, we will proceed to publish a completely new one.
This being said, one day we would like to be able to offer you a wide variety of stories that will horrify you, deprive you from sleep and ultimately, entertain you and get stuck in your head forever!
What's a Novella?
Novella, such a fancy word, huh? But, what is it exactly? Well, according to Wikipedia, a novella is a work of narrative fiction that is longer than a short story but shorter than a novel, being its word count somewhere between 15,000 and 40,000 words.
In our case, as our stories are not going to be as short as a sneeze nor as long as a walk to the top of Mount Everest, we fall under this category. But well, call them as you like. Longer or shorter they are still stories, right?
Why Horror and Sci-fi?
I have always been attracted to incomprehensible events, the obscure underlying nature ruling human behaviors , the possible scenarios that may arise because of human acts and its unchangeable consequences; for dark stories. These have inspired me and given me tons of ideas for the stories that will be published here over time. However, the genre of these tales would slightly vary from one to another but ultimately, they would give you chills and even question yourself or what surrounds you.
